Musharraf delays plans to return to Pakistan

Defence Minister A.K. Antony on Thursday ruled out any plans for offensive action against Somali pirates in the Gulf of Aden despite an increase in piracy-related incidents.

Australia’s government has proposed a carbon tax on its biggest industrial polluters, arguing Thursday that the country cannot afford to lag behind other nations in reducing its greenhouse gas emissions.
