Government passes NCTC test in Rajya Sabha
New Delhi, March 20, 2012
The government on Tuesday heaved a sigh of relief as amendments moved by opposition to the President’s Address on National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC) were defeated in the Rajya Sabha, where the UPA is in minority, with the help of SP and BSP while ally Trinamool Congress absented.

Sukumar Azhikode passes away
THRISSUR, January 24, 2012
Sukumar Azhikode, veteran Malayalam writer, orator, scholar, Gandhian, former pro-vice-chancellor of Calicut University and ex-chairman of the National Book Trust, died at a private hospital here on Tuesday.
He was 85. The end came around 6-35 a.m.

NEW DELHI, June 9, 2011.
M.F. Husain, one of the pioneers of modern Indian art and hailed as the "Picasso of India", died in a London hospital on Thursday after a heart attack. He was 95.
