Baby Afreen dies after cardiac arrest
Bangalore, April 11, 2012
Three-month-old baby Afreen, allegedly battered and abused by her father for being born a girl, died at a hospital here on Wednesday after suffering a cardiac arrest.
Afreen had convulsions at 10.00 a.m. and later suffered a cardiac arrest, Dr. Somegowda, Resident Medical Superintendent of Vani Vilas Hospital, where the child was admitted two days ago said.

Making a breakthrough in the battered baby case, Delhi Police has arrested the prime suspect who allegedly handed over the child to his 14-year-old girlfriend here.

A Delhi court on Friday ordered “forthwith” arrest of DMK MP Kanimozhi and Kalaignar TV MD Sharad Kumar after rejecting their bail pleas in the 2G spectrum case.
