Deepika’s re-entry in ‘Race 2’!

Date: Feb 17, 2012

Mumbai, Friday, February 17, 2012

For a considerable amount of time now, actor Deepika Padukone has been at loggerheads with producer Ramesh Taurani over ‘Race 2’. Deepika’s act of quitting the shoot a bare six days into the same hadn’t gone down well with Taurani, and a legal notice was slammed on the leggy beauty.

After several rounds of heated discussions and negotiations, the actress and Taurani have reportedly buried the hatchet, and Deepika has decided to re-enter ‘Race 2’, albeit on terms and conditions that she has laid down.

According to sources from the industry, Deepika had met producer Taurani recently and thereafter realised that the monetary damages that the latter had claimed might turn out to be too steep for her to take care of. In conversation with a daily, a source revealed, “The damages that Taurani claimed he would ask from the actress might be too high for Dippy”.

Their fight is expected to end in a day or two, according to what has been heard. Seems like Deepika is playing it safe. And given the sky-high amount of damages that Taurani was planning to claim, the actress hardly had a way out!
